I went and picked up the first issue of fleezine from the printers today!

Printing the fleezine!
So the document for the first issue of fleezine is finished and this morning I took my memory stick along with my pdf files to one of the printers in my home town, Cheltenham. There were a few printers to choose from in the area but I decided to chose Quorom printers as they gave me the best price and were very friendly on the phone! They couldn't have been more helpful and they gave me loads of useful tips and advice! I even had a tour of the factory! Thanks to Trevor, Scott and Peter who helped me today! I can't wait to see the result on friday!

More on the FLEE collective

The Flee Collective are curating the pop-up gallery space for Corsica Studios FLEE.
As well as running this space the duo also assist Amanda Moss with the day to day running of the FLEE market itself.
The collective comprise of Jack Wilkinson and Ben Harris.
Ben studies Graphic Design and likes a pint of bitter whilst listening to the Beatles, whereas Jack studies Painting at Camberwell, on the weekend he likes to perfect his alter ego, Aslan.
“With our pop up space we facilitate creativity, allowing a platform to explore the arts in an exciting, sustainable way. There is a hard working, enthusiastic, creative buzz to our collective and we are striving for the highest quality work possible, whilst engaging with inspirational, burgeoning and innovative artists.”

fleezine
The FLEE market will be running at Corsica Studios all across summer on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month - be sure to come down and have a look! Look out for fleezine’s stall which will be up and running at every event where visitors are encouraged to have fun, get creative and be inspired by the activities and artwork surrounding them in order to design their own page(s) to feature in the fleezine! Feel free to use the wide array of materials available to use at the stall, a variety of paper, pens, magazines, glue, scissors etc are at your disposal! Some of the pages created are shown here on the fleezine blog. Photographs of the event are provided courtesy of Harvey Brown. I hope you enjoy each and every issue of fleezine! Corsica Studios host FLEE market!
Amanda Moss and Adrian Jones, the founders of Corsica Studios, negotiated their first property in exchange for a single piece of art.
Their goal was to create a sustainable arts and music venue that would be independent from the funding system.
Today Corsica Studios is one of London’s most respected independent venues and has provided a bridge between London’s music and art scenes for over a decade.
Art has always been fundamental to Corsica’s values and over the years Amanda and Adrian have created many successful art events and exhibitions.
The idea for FLEE has grown from a need and desire to provide a platform for the arts within Corsica’s high quality programme. Elephant and Castle is an area which in the process of regeneration provides the setting for this new Sunday market FLEE.
The transient nature of a market place seems fitting for an area undergoing change, where there is no permanent fixed home for exhibitors or stall holders. FLEE gives the opportunity to create a pop up style solution to this.
